BIOGRAPHY
Ali Sedri, born in Germany and artistically trained in Iran, merges European modernism with the precise aesthetics of the Persian master tradition. During his studies at art academies in Isfahan and Florence, he worked for several years with the renowned artist Mahmoud Farshchian, whose influence shaped his technical and compositional foundation.
Alongside his own artistic practice, Sedri also taught painting students, further deepening his ability to convey complex techniques and creative processes.
In his current series, Sedri transforms the carousel into a symbol of inner movement. His horses, unicorns, and rhinoceroses appear tense, powerful, and in transition — caught between memory and departure. Vibrant colors and dynamic forms reveal identity as something alive: a process of energy, resistance, and transformation.
